Location: Flexible (including home-based); regular presence required in our offices in Berlin, Castrop, and Holzhausen, as well as travel across Europe
Your Responsibilities
As Finance Director, you will hold overall responsibility for shaping and delivering the financial strategy in the region (Germany, Poland, Austria, the Netherland). Working closely with the Managing Director and both internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure that financial and business objectives are achieved sustainably.
Key responsibilities include:
Define and implement the financial strategy in line with the overall Alliance Medical strategy
Set annual financial targets and long-term financial plans
Ensure effective financial management, governance, and resource allocation
Lead, inspire, and develop Finance teams (approx. 7 colleagues)
Oversee centralized procurement processes
Safeguard high standards in corporate governance, information governance, and patient care
Collaborate with public and private healthcare partners as well as insurance providers
Identify opportunities for growth and develop innovative financial solutions
Build and maintain networks with regulators, industry associations, and senior decision-makers in the healthcare sector

Senior-level finance leadership in complex, multi-site organisations
Expertise in M&A, financial planning, audits, and tax advisory
Experience in capital-intensive and partially VAT-exempt businesses
Proven success in leading teams and delivering complex projects
Track record of developing innovative solutions to long-term financial challenges
Qualifications:
Qualified Accountant
Strong academic background
Postgraduate or management qualification (e.g., MBA) or equivalent experience desirable
Fluent in English and German (mandatory requirement)
