Major Tasks
- Lead and manage the Quality Control department, including supervision, training, and development of QC staff
- Ensure all testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products is performed in compliance with EU GMP requirements
- Oversee and actively contribute to analytical testing using HPLC, GC, and other relevant techniques
- Approve or reject materials and products based on analytical results
- Ensure proper validation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of analytical methods (including HPLC/GC)
- Investigate and document OOS (Out-of-Specification) and OOT (Out-of-Trend) results
- Ensure proper documentation and data integrity in all QC activities
- Manage qualification and maintenance of laboratory equipment and facilities
- Collaborate with Production, QA, and Qualified Person on GMP compliance and product release
- Support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee stability studies and sample management
- Provide strong leadership and direction to the QC team
- Ensure effective communication and escalation of quality issues
- Develop team capabilities through training and mentoring
- Manage external laboratories and contract analysts
- Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement
Profil
- Degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, or a related field
- Proven experience in Quality Control within the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong hands-on experience with HPLC and GC (essential)
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- In-depth knowledge of GMP and analytical method validation
- Experience with OOS/OOT investigations and audits
- Strong organizational and communication skills
